Oooh! Oooh! Me, me, me!

It’s Tulip Time ’round my parts and I love this festival. I generally dance as an alumni Dutch Dancer and spend an entire night taking in the sights and smells of Junk Food Alley … except this year I’m outnumbered by my children.
Last year I was in the hospital giving birth to the outnumbering factor – all years prior it was just Jessica and I – the buddy system, my little helper – my little dutch girl.
The stakes have changed and no one informed me.
Today I got a picture of what it would be like on a daily basis to have more children than hands or people to care for them (ie more than 2 kids) and allow me to let you all in on this adventure of learning I’ve just experienced.
It’s a whopper. A dinger. A zinger-mc-thudder.
I don’t think I’m organized enough to accomplish that task yet. Maybe when I’m 30 or 37 … maybe 42. I don’t know when that’ll happen for me, but I can almost guarantee it won’t be in the next 5 years.

  1. Ha! I took Emma, Sophia, Blyn and friend’s daughter Mazarine to the fireworks this year. “Handful” doesn’t begin to describe it.
As a matter of fact, right now all four of our kids are upstairs playing house – which, while it looks like an awful lot of fun, has resulted in a couple hours’ worth of cleaning and organizing having been undone in a matter of minutes. If idle hands work for evil forces, I shan’t have to worry; mine are only idle when I’m horizontal.
