Wow

Well well well. I don’t even know what to say. The Lakeshore Fine Arts Competition was tonight and I was there to see the other pieces and check things out. My amazing family came out to support me in droves. We ate little crackers and cheese and walked the hall looking at each and every painting, photo and drawing. There was even some mixed media/ceramic there. It was great.

There they are

They had programs and I got to see my name in print, twice! It was all very special and exciting for me. Something so wildly outside of my comfort zone. I was really hoping to get some kind of mention, a ribbon, something. I was not expecting a categorical placing or anything. I felt kind of silly even entering and being accepted. So I was just hoping my photos hung on the wall in dignity.
name in print :)

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met some really great people, was told about other competitions going on and invited to submit to a co-op gallery in Grand Haven. I was speechless and so excited.
I’m still blushing.

  1. So very cool and well deserved! An awesome tale to the rest of us about believing in ourselves enough to go for it. šŸ™‚ Just the kind of push I needed today, thanks for that.
