Paint the knotty pine, leave the cool stone alone.
I agree with the above comment…I really like the fireplace…love the green. BUT, I am TERRIBLE when it comes to anything that has to do with paint (in the last three weeks we’ve painted our kitchen four different colors…ugh)….so I’m probably not much help!!
I agree with above comments. Your stone is really unique and you could play off the colors in it. Painting the knotty pine would give that room an entire new look.
Jodi…I totally agree with painting the knotty pine instead! The stone is not what’s making the room so dark…it seems like its the walls! : ) Plus, there are so many fun colors you could accent with that coordinate with the stone.
