  1. Hello Jodi – Not sure if you even remember me, but I used to work at JP’s and just left about a month and a half ago. Your family was one of my absolute favorites who came in a regular basis! My husband and I just moved to Switzerland to work for a missions organization called YWAM. I have traveled a lot before, but this move has been surprisingly more difficult than I thought… A few weeks ago I stumbled upon your blog (I don’t even remember how that happened..) and in some strange and cosmic way it has helped me not be so “holland-homesick”. What I miss most isn’t the places, or our apartment, or downtown, but the stories of people and my friends living life there. So somehow reading about the farmers market, or the library, or living downtown (we lived down there too!) makes me feel like I’m not missing out quite so much.

so thank you for writing and sharing your stories, and if you don’t mind, I think I’ll drop by every once and awhile when I’m really missing home šŸ™‚

    thanks,

    carolyn šŸ™‚

  2. You’re so welcome Carolyn! And congratulations on the move – what an amazing journey you and your husband must be on! Would love to have you “stop by” whenever you’re homesick for Holland … best of luck!

  3. nope! we lived in Centennial Park Place Apartments right across from the gazeebo at Centennial Park. i doubt that any other 517 sq. foot place will ever steal my heart like that one… we miss it!
