This weekend we made some sock puppets. Apparently they are all the rage – my kids have been asking me to do this for a good month now.
So this is what we did:
I bought a few extra supplies to add to the arsenal, things like buttons and fake flowers, felt sheets for the fashion designer in our family and the most important: socks.
Then I kind of hovered over the process – glue and scraps of felt were flying everywhere and I find it easier to deal with the mess if I don’t see the process in which it’s made.
The worst part is waiting for the glue to dry because as they’re making their puppets – they can literally see them come to life. Their voices, their personalities.
Hello!
And it was a happy morning, a good-sunshiny morning of giggles and impersonations.
