For all the posts to date on the Road Trip with my daughter, a dream come true, go here.
We woke up according to Jessica’s clock, early. Laid around before the rest of the house woke up (we stayed overnight with My brother-in-law and his lovely wife). I fumbled around the kitchen to make coffee and Jessica got to work on improving her score on one of the new games on my phone.
We all got ready and decided to head out for breakfast. The plan for the day was the Mall of America – and specifically, the theme park inside of it. But first! Piggy back rides and harmonica’s.
These are Jessica’s first “real” roller coaster rides, something I’ve waited 7 1/2 years to do with her. Literally. It’s on my Life List to go to Cedar Point with her and ride every single ride … someday we will, but on that day – we did Nickelodeon Universe. And it was a blast. We refueled in the food court then finished the day with a couple more rides – Jessica was tired and I think ready to spend some one on one time with me again so we headed back to my sister-in-laws house to get our bags and find a hotel for the night. There was a swimming pool, who’s surprised?
We swam and swam some more … then got ready for another adventure ….
To be continued.
