hot, sticky, sweet and all worn in

This post is part of a series called 100 Days of Poetry.

Sometimes I smell you –
like leather and insulin.

Hot, sticky, sweet, and all
worn in.

With open mouth promises
in the waterfall memory
of the good ol’ days
spent laid out on
your couch like a
kitten sunbathing

just waiting to be pet.
